Peter’s Car — 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue

When Grandpa was advised not to continue driving due to health reasons (he was almost 94 at the time), he generously passed down his car to me! I had been waiting for just the right time to move forward in getting my driver’s license, but since my family didn’t have a car to spare, I had been holding off for quite a while. However, the Lord paved the way for me to get my license in May 2004 and drive the car back to Chicago!

There is a funny story about the history of this car—the day Grandpa bought it, he took Grandma to her water aerobics class in their old Pontiac, drove over to the used car dealer, picked out this car, and came back to the swim center to pick up Grandma in style! (He then treated her to a donut at their favorite bakery.) That tells a little of what my Grandpa is like!

I’m so glad God has blessed me with this car! It is awesome having new wheels in Chicago!
