IBLP Headquarters

Kristina served for two years at the IBLP Headquarters from the summer of 2002 through the summer of 2004. On her last day at work she shared her testimony at the daily staff meeting, which you may read if you’d like.

Verity

Kristina is currently enrolled in the Verity Education program located at the Riverfront Character Inn in Flint, Michigan, where she is working toward her bachelor’s degree in English.

Visual Arts

As a 5th grader, Kristina began taking private art lessons. Her art teacher, Sue Kay, encouraged her to enter several art contests. Competing against 4th–6th graders in the U.S. Savings Bond Poster Contest, she won first place in the State of Maryland for her poster. She also entered the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest that year and every year through grade twelve and placed at the State level each time. In ninth grade, she won the ACSI Best of Show award.

Even though Kristina competed on a state and national level, she discovered that her greatest joy came from using her art to serve others. Throughout high school, she had many opportunities to use art as an avenue to bless those around her. She especially enjoyed designing bulletin boards at school and at church as well as illustrating the daily lunch menu board in the school cafeteria.

As a result of helping her parents coordinate Character First! Education at TCS, she became interested in graphic design. She attended a desktop publishing course. From there, she further pursued her graphic design skills in ministry at the IBLP Headquarters while helping to design home-school material.

Surrounded by other enthusiastic amateur photographers at the IBLP Headquarters, Kristina acquired her newest interest—digital photography. With her new camera, she’s armed and ready to shoot!

Kristina has also recently been developing her calligraphy skills. While working in Chicago, she had the unique opportunity to take courses from world-renown calligrapher, Timothy Botts. He inspired her to combine her love of Scripture with art.

Music

Kristina has also been blessed with a musical heritage. More coming later…
